Job Description

πŸš€ The Job Mission

This is a hybrid role based in Bristol with relocation support available. You’ll lead the design and coordination of secondary steelwork for a major nuclear project, taking responsibility for design quality, cost, and schedule across assigned buildings.

  • Manage and produce design deliverables including drawings, calculations and reports
  • Oversee design changes, open points and technical clarifications
  • Identify and manage project risks related to design and delivery
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration
  • Apply replication and continuous improvement practices within the design scope
  • Support planning, programming and operational decision-making

Qualifications

πŸ›  Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in structural steelwork designΒ to Eurocodes
  • Strong understanding of design and construction interfaces on complex projects
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver technical work independently
  • Confident communicator across multi-disciplinary stakeholders
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations

  • Previous experience in the nuclear industry or a highly regulated sector
  • Familiarity with PWR technology or plant layout engineering
  • Understanding of replication processes within large engineering programmes
