Job Description
🚀 The Job Mission
This is a hybrid role based in Bristol with relocation support available. You’ll lead the design and coordination of secondary steelwork for a major nuclear project, taking responsibility for design quality, cost, and schedule across assigned buildings.
- Manage and produce design deliverables including drawings, calculations and reports
- Oversee design changes, open points and technical clarifications
- Identify and manage project risks related to design and delivery
- Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration
- Apply replication and continuous improvement practices within the design scope
- Support planning, programming and operational decision-making
Qualifications
🛠 Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in structural steelwork design to Eurocodes
- Strong understanding of design and construction interfaces on complex projects
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver technical work independently
- Confident communicator across multi-disciplinary stakeholders
- Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
✔️ Desired Skills
- Previous experience in the nuclear industry or a highly regulated sector
- Familiarity with PWR technology or plant layout engineering
- Understanding of replication processes within large engineering programmes
