Location: This position is offered on a hybrid or remote basis in Germany, Belgium or France. We have offices in Munich, Berlin, Freiburg (Germany), Brussels (Belgium), and Toulouse (France).

Your Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Satellite Structural Engineer to join our spacecraft engineering team. In this role, you’ll play a key role in the design, analysis, and optimisation of structural components and assemblies for our own fleet of satellites. You’ll work closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure structural integrity, manufacturability, and mission success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of lightweight, high-performance structural components for spacecraft from satellite to subsystem level

  • Perform structural analysis using FEA tools to validate designs under launch and space environments.

  • Collaborate with thermal, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.

  • Support material selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly procedures.

  • Generate and maintain detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation, including specifications, analysis reports, and design review materials.

  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support mechanical and structural testing, verification, and validation activities.

Requirements

About you

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in structural design, preferably in the aerospace or space sector.

  • Fluent English proficiency.

  • Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus).

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, Siemens NX, CATIA).

  • Understanding of space-grade materials and structural testing methods.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with ECSS or NASA standards is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience in mechanical design, including mechanisms, actuators, or thermal hardware.
