We are a CPA firm serving small businesses across Alabama. Our firm provides bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, tax planning and preparation, and payroll services. We pride ourselves on accuracy, strong communication, and building long-term client relationships.
Our team structure pairs each small business client with both a Staff Accountant and a CPA, creating opportunities for mentorship, growth, and long-term career development. Over time, the goal for this role is to independently manage a portfolio of clients and confidently handle their day-to-day accounting needs.
Position Details
- Full-time position
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
- Remote position
- Must be comfortable using Microsoft Teams and other cloud-based tools
- Salary: 1,300 to 1,800
What You’ll Do
- Maintain bookkeeping records for small business clients
- Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations
- Record journal entries and assist with monthly financial statements
- Prepare sales tax returns and related filings
- Assist with year-end close and required business filings
- Communicate with clients and internal team members regarding assigned work
- Support tax preparation and other accounting-related projects as needed
- Work closely with assigned CPAs to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with a US firm
QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Dependable and able to manage deadlines effectively
Comfortable using accounting software, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and general office technology
Strong English Language skills
Professional communication skills with a client-service mindset
Knowledge of sales tax and payroll tax processes is a plus
Ability to learn quickly and grow into independently managing client accounts
Client Relationship: You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
Payments: All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
Vacation Leaves and Holidays: While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
