Job Summary
As a DevOps Engineer you will be part of a cross-functional team, which, using cutting-edge technology, will work collaboratively to build an observability system for services and resources and later solve reported alarms.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Digest requirements from product and development teams and design high availability monitoring system;
- Raise and discuss trade-offs of different design approaches elaborating detailed design documents;
- Keep the infrastructure as a code using Terraform and/or Helm and/or Ansible;
- Develop solution components in partnership with the Dev teams;
- Participate in technical discussions with customer operations and development teams;
- Follow Agile processes and participate actively in all development phases, fostering a culture of collaboration.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge/Experience with observability tools (preferably Prometheus, CheckMK and Grafana);
- Knowledge/Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, and Bash script;
- Knowledge/Experience in Infrastructure as Code/config management tools such as Terraform and/or Helm and/or Ansible;
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
- Comfortable with Linux environment for development and troubleshooting;
- Strong troubleshooting skills, monitoring systems, and distributed environments;
- Ability to analyze incidents and perform root cause analysis for system and infrastructure issues;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think beyond standard scenarios and explore alternative approaches for diagnosing and resolving problems;
- Ability to anticipate potential failure scenarios and design monitoring strategies to improve system reliability and observability.
Highly Desirable Skills
- Knowledge on SQL and NoSQL databases (especially InfluxDB);
- Experience with CI/CD (including Jenkins and ArgoCD);
- Experience with Git;
- Experience or knowledge with consuming web services-based APIs (RESTful);
- Knowledge/experience in Agile development using Scrum or Kanban Methodology;
- Experience with GenAI tools as Amazon Q.
