Job Description
Experience Level:
Minimum 2 Years
We are seeking a technically skilled with at least 2 years of experience in IT support and hands-on expertise in VB scripting and Python. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, supporting end-users, and automating tasks using VBScript to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports including dashboards, parameterised reports, and data-driven subscriptions.
- Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate reporting requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and datasets for efficient report generation.
- Create and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
- Design, develop, and maintain Crystal Reports for legacy and operational reporting needs.
- Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency in reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support report enhancements and troubleshooting.
- Use Azure DevOps for version control, deployment pipelines, and task management.
- Develop and maintain VB scripts for automation, calculations, and system customisation (where applicable).
- Provide L2 support for reporting-related issues, including debugging and performance tuning.
- Maintain documentation for report designs, data models, and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data security, IT policies, and reporting standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in SSRS development and reporting solutions.
Strong expertise in:
- SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- SSRS report design, deployment, and optimisation
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (dashboard creation, DAX basics, data modelling).
- Good experience in Crystal Reports development and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of data analysis and data validation techniques.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, work items).
- Knowledge of VBScript / Visual Basic scripting for automation and customisation.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and incident management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
