The role

What youโll do
- You take ownership of complex month-end close activities, including preparing, reviewing, and posting journals as well as performing key account reconciliations
- Furthermore, you collaborate closely with the Tech organization to calculate and post software capitalization under IAS 38 and provide transparent reporting back to Tech
- In addition, you manage intercompany processes by calculating allocations, overseeing intercompany invoicing, and ensuring smooth reconciliations
- You also guide and review the work of junior accountants, supporting their development and ensuring high-quality output
- Moreover, you contribute to monthly management reporting under IFRS and support the preparation of annual financial statements under HGB
- At the same time, you deliver insightful ad-hoc analyses and act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders (FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, Legal, Group Reporting) as well as external partners such as auditors and banks
- Finally, you drive continuous process improvements and automation initiatives, support the expansion of AI-driven finance solutions, and take on additional responsibilities in special projects
What youโll bring
- A degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, with strong command of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow concepts under IFRS and HGB
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Proficiency in standard accounting systems; experience with Oracle Fusion or Workday Adaptive is an advantage
- Ability to analyze large data sets; experience with data flow automation or programming (e.g., Python) is considered a plus
- High willingness to learn and adopt modern tools and technologies to enhance the working environment
- Fluency in German and English
