Job Description

Insightsoftware is looking for the best and brightest talent to join our software engineering team, working on novel data management products.

We are looking for candidates with:

Our engineering managers are both technically gifted and can work well with others to solve difficult problems. Technologies frequently change, and the successful candidate must have the ability to rapidly master new software languages and technologies.

Tasks:

Oversees and leads conception, execution and launch of the product. Manages communication and coordination among different types of engineers, designers and DevOps working on a project. Supervises project schedule, drive daily scrums, and communications with stakeholders.

  • Key functions of this role

  • Role includes more technical hands on and Management activities.

  • Guide and develop two engineering teams across the full technology stack, building strong frontend and backend capabilities while mentoring team members to reach their full potential

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable solutions for PowerONย to support analytical and business needs

  • Partner with Product Owner / Manager to prioritize and define development needs

  • Balance customer satisfaction with long-term platform health by orchestrating timely defect resolution and strategically addressing technical debt to prevent future issues

  • Serve as liaison between the Product Owner / Manager / Engineering team / Content Teams and the DevOPs teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current and future Engineering Roadmap, ย performance, and ad hoc investigations into future improvements or innovations. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.

  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Engineers

  • Manage and improve our Agile Delivery Process

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Masterโ€™s degree or higher in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Senior engineering profession, with experience successfully leading engineering teams in a management capacity
  • Knowledge of Agile SDLC is a must. Agile certification is an added advantage.
  • Our product suite is built using .NET and Typescript technologies. More than just a great coder, we are looking for someone with flexibility and the ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies. Ability to learn and move to different stack as the project demands is a must. All our mangers are hands on and participate in all the stages of SDLC.
  • Experience with creating and building predictive/optimization tools that benefit the business and improve customer experience
  • Passionate advocate for AI-enhanced engineering practices, continuously exploring and implementing AI tools to amplify team capabilities and redefine development excellence.
  • Solid experience with complete application stack: .NET backend development, multiple SQL-based database engines (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.), and frontend technologies (Angular / React) with production deployment experience
