Job description
As a Tax Associate you will be responsible for:
Preparation of corporate and partnership tax returns for US businesses under the supervision of senior staff.
The portfolio includes companies with revenues ranging from $0-$100M, across a variety of industries including Tech Start-Up, Pharmaceuticals, Marketing, Consumer Products, and our personal favorite, French Wine and Desserts 😊
Preparation of state and local nexus analysis and calculation of apportionment factors.
Calculation of federal taxable income, and identification of book-to-tax differences.
Preparation of international tax forms, including 5472, 5471, 8865, 8858, 1042-S, 114 (no worries, we will show you the ropes)
At least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or currently working toward completion.
1–2 years of tax experience in a mid-sized CPA firm, with hands-on exposure to corporate and partnership tax returns.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate effectively with both clients and team members.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong team spirit.
Ability to meet deadlines and proactively communicate in advance if challenges arise.
High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling client and company information.
Proficiency in at least one tax software program.
Valid U.S. work authorization
Progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
