We’re looking for a junior backend software engineer to join our ongoing quest to create the most innovative sales management solution in our Tallinn and Tartu offices. In this role, you’ll get a chance to work with a team of 9 engineers to enable Sales, Success, Support and partners to bring in, retain, and upsell customers by providing scalable and sustainable software solutions. How we work:

The engineering team is our biggest team, yet we try to keep its hierarchy flat and scalable using an innovative model built around independently operating tribes. Each tribe is a self-sufficient unit with full ownership of its area of expertise, including its respective product managers, designers, and all necessary engineering roles. Developers enjoy a lot of freedom at Pipedrive: They get to pick what we call “missions” to work on. When they’re done, they’re back at the launchpad, keeping the show running and focusing on improving quality and reliability before embarking on the next mission.

The technologies we use:

Back End - Node.js and Typescript

Other - MySQL, Redis, Kafka

AI - Claude, Cursor, Copilot or Codex

Your new adventure:

  • Work with a team of eight people to deliver high-quality code on time
  • Review code and provide feedback to your peersWrite automated tests
  • Deploy to production and maintain monitoring
  • Be on call when it’s your turn, react to alerts and resolve production incidents
  • Continuously improve your stack and pay off technical debt
  • Think multi-regional, highly available and scalable

Does this sound like you?

  • Software development experience
  • Comfortable with AI tools like Claude, Cursor, Copilot or Codex
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience with Javascript, Node.js, React.js, Typescript
  • Experience with some of the following technologies: PHP (7+), MySQL, CouchDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, Apache Kafka is a plus
  • Ability to work in areas outside of your usual comfort zone and get things done quickly
  • A good understanding of security threats
  • Knowledge and experience of multi-region cloud-based services is a plus
  • A strong can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and openness to feedback
