Job description
Forecasting Analyst Wanted: Shape the Future of Medical Research
- 100% remote, forever
- Unlimited paid leave
- Total compensation 20% above market
Hello—we’re Trialfacts, a remote, entrepreneurial company at the forefront of advancing health research. We’re looking for a proactive Forecasting Analyst to help solve our clients’ most pressing recruitment challenges. You’ll bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify insights that drive results. Your role is to ensure our clients can successfully recruit participants by delivering accurate forecasts, clear data, and reliable recommendations.
Your Role:
- Forecasting: Use data from past studies, online research, and AI or other emerging technologies to forecast how many volunteers will meet eligibility criteria and sign up for a study. For example, you may need to estimate how many diabetics who are non-smokers live in Melbourne and are likely to click on our ads and complete our signup form.
- Analyze & Organize Data: Absorb online medical research, analyze data from previous studies, and collate findings into organized, labeled systems so our team can easily refer back to them.
- Continuous Learning: Rapidly build your knowledge of data analysis and medical conditions while challenging the status quo and rethinking our processes to ensure we forecast the right numbers. You’ll receive training and support from our team, and we’ll also fund additional courses and resources to help you grow independently.
What We Offer:
- Autonomy and Flexibility: Enjoy the stability of monthly pay while having the freedom to design your day around what matters most, with unlimited paid holidays and remote work from anywhere.
- Innovation and Impact: Work with research teams driving significant advancements in medical research from organizations like AstraZeneca, Harvard, Stanford, and many more.
- Growth and Learning: Opportunities for professional development, with access to courses and training programs.
- Rewarding Career: Contribute meaningfully to the world of health research and share in the success of Trialfacts.
This Position Is Ideal For You If You:
- Bring a Solid Analytics & Forecasting Background: You have proven ability in analyzing data, applying math and probability, and using forecasting methods to generate reliable insights.
- Leverage AI Tools Effectively: You know how to incorporate AI-driven research and analysis tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in your work.
- Exemplify Fact-Checking Mastery: You are thorough in your research, never leave a source unchecked, and can always back up your findings with credible evidence and logic.
- Have a Foundation in Statistics and Probability: You understand concepts like statistical significance and probability, and are eager to further develop your expertise.
- Excel in Data Tools: You are proficient in Excel, confident building formulas, and able to create robust pivot tables that simplify complex data. If you know SQL, that will be a big bonus!
- Are a Critical Thinker and Problem Solver: You can draw meaningful conclusions from imperfect data and think outside the box when straightforward answers don’t exist.
- Demonstrate Organizational Excellence: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and assignments at once while keeping everything structured and on track.
- Bring a Strong Work Ethic: You are motivated, reliable, and committed to contributing to the success of a small but driven team.
- Embrace Flexibility in a Startup Environment: You’re willing to wear different hats, take ownership, and adapt as the company grows and evolves.
- Are Results-Driven: You take accountability for meeting KPIs, using coaching and guidance as tools to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Seek a Full-Time Commitment: You are looking for a long-term role where you can fully commit and quickly get up to speed.
