Summary: Account Executive Director will be reporting into the Vice President of Account Management within the Client Organization — is responsible for the commercialization, growth, and retention of Onbe’s presence within key verticals where we have a strong market fit. This leader will develop a deep understanding of industry-specific needs and challenges, build trusted relationships across clients and prospects, and unlock the full potential of Onbe’s solutions within targeted verticals.

This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 2 days per week at our Plano, TX location. Occasional travel may be required as part of this position.

Responsibilities

•    Understands and articulates the unique needs, goals, and market dynamics of assigned verticals; builds collaborative and trusted relationships within a layered network of contacts.

•    Partners with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to define and execute vertical-specific go-to-market strategies.

•    Collaborates with clients to co-develop success plans that align client objectives with Onbe’s solutions.

•    Drives adoption of Onbe’s payout solutions, demonstrating ROI and value tailored to each vertical.

•    Anticipates and resolves obstacles that may hinder client or vertical success.

•    Leads expansion efforts by identifying new opportunities within assigned verticals and deepening relationships with existing clients.

•    Owns in-year revenue goals and provides accurate short- and mid-term forecasting inputs for vertical performance.

•    Manages vertical pipeline in partnership with Channel Sales and Business Development teams.

•    Oversees onboarding, enablement, and training to ensure client teams understand and can advocate for Onbe’s solutions.

•    Provides consultative support and runs ongoing business reviews to evaluate KPIs, identify growth opportunities, and mitigate risks.

•    Activates Marketing resources to drive effective demand generation and vertical-specific campaigns.

•    Develops vertical expertise and continuously refines strategies to optimize outcomes.

•    Builds advocacy with vertical leaders, provides feedback to internal stakeholders, and helps shape product development priorities.

•    Manages escalations, contract renewals, and pricing initiatives while ensuring overall client health and retention.

•    Maintains a strong understanding of payments industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving client needs within assigned verticals.

Qualifications

•    5–10 years of client-facing experience in sales, relationship management, commercialization, or account management, preferably within payments or related industries.

•    Proven success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies in verticalized markets.

•    Strong analytical skills and ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.

•    Self-starter with leadership presence and strong problem-solving skills.

•    Exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship-building abilities across multiple levels.

•    Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, and Word.

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred.

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $117,990  to $157,500 . with uncapped commission. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of proven experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
