If this sounds like you and you are driven by purpose, join the SOPHiA GENETICS Sales Team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for the Spain region and enable us to make a positive impact on the outcomes for cancer and rare disease patients worldwide.
This is a remote position based in Madrid, Spain. You’ll primarily work from your home office, with occasional travel.

Your Mission:
Reporting into the Sales Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in the sales process by prospecting, qualifying, and generating opportunities to support the overall growth of the business.
What you’ll achieve:
- Generate new sales opportunities through inbound management and outbound outreach (calls, email, use of Salesforce CRM and other enablement software)
- Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Be the front-line for SOPHiA GENETICS in reporting market feedback to teams across the organization
- Set up meetings or calls between prospects and sales executives
- Manage renewals and up-sell opportunities with certain key products
- Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results
- Developing sales outreach strategies to draw in potential buyers or to solicit new potential customers.
- Creating relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales.
- Presenting product information to customers once you have identified their needs.
- Following up with potential customers who expressed interest but did not purchase any goods or services.
- Collaborating with sales executives to ensure the company’s goals and targets are met.
The experience you bring
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be fluent to a business level in Spanish and English
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently
- Driven and self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
- Exposure to different sales tools, such as: Salesforce, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, Groove, Outreach, DemandBase, ZoomInfo
- BA/BS degree preferred
