The Role
This person will partner with the SVP of Corporate Development, Investor Relations, and Treasury to craft HubSpot’s investment message and communications strategy to inform investors and sell-side analysts of HubSpot’s strategy and financials. The Senior Director of Investor Relations will act as a strategic advisor to the VP and the executive team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the quarterly earnings process. Identify key messages, analyze results, and draft earnings release, conference call script, Q&A, and presentations
- Manage shareholders, including regular business/financial updates and meetings w/ key current and potential investors
- Manage one investor relations manager, creating and fostering a psychologically safe and inclusive team culture
- Prepare investor presentations and present at select meetings, conferences, or other events. Provide materials and 1:1 preparation on key investor topics for Executives
- Prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and Executive Team
- Lead the design and execution of the company’s annual Analyst Day, partnering with internal teams to develop CEO and CFO presentations, shape key messaging, and manage cross-functional coordination.
- Partner with accounting and FP&A teams to ensure smooth execution of quarterly earnings
- Develop metrics and guidance philosophy, with a goal of providing consistent, fulsome, and insightful disclosures to our target long-term investor base
- Lead an investor targeting program; Track and report investor activities and success metrics
- Manage sell-side analysts and monitor consensus estimates, and manage a working sell-side model for the company
- Perform valuation analysis on the company stock, peer groups, and the market to develop insights on overall and relative performance. Collect investor feedback, review analyst reports, and monitor consensus expectations to report to executives on stock performance and positioning
- Advise on SEC filings and disclosures, ensuring that we deliver consistent, accurate messaging
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience. Prior experience in investment banking, venture capital, or buyside equity research is required (Software/SaaS/technology industry experience a plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and communicate complex topics in a concise, easy-to-understand, and visually pleasing format
- A proven ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally and to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Experience using FactSet and/or other financial data and market analysis platforms
- A proclivity for working in fast-paced environments, along with experience working in a high-growth, rapidly scaling environment

Cash compensation range: 241500-386400 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
