Job description
Thoughtworks is seeking a proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative Tax Specialist (Senior Associate) who will be part of the Global Tax Team and will take responsibility for US federal, state, and local tax compliance, as well as the quarterly tax provision process. Leveraging external experience, best practices, technology, and innovation the Tax Specialist will help drive enhancements to the existing tax function to support continuous and sustainable growth.
Job responsibilities
- Manage in-house process for filing of U.S. federal and state income and local tax returns, including U.S. tax reporting of non-U.S. operations.
- Manage preparation of quarterly global tax provision calculation pursuant to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Support tax initiatives and special projects.
- Provide assistance with tax audits.
- Coach, mentor, and develop tax skills of Tax Analyst.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
- Advanced English is required as you will be part of a global team.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar background required.
- Master’s degree in taxation or accounting and/or CPA preferred.
- Strong corporate income tax experience.
- ASC 740 experience.
- Proficiency in corporate tax compliance software, Thomson Reuters OneSource preferred.
- Advanced Excel capabilities.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness and enthusiasm for team-oriented work as well as continuous learning and personal growth within the organization.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and complete assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis.
