Job description

We are looking for an Intern to join the Malware Processing team, where youโ€™ll focus on developing internal tools that help our security analysts work faster and more efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in Python, basic SQL skills, and an interest in cybersecurity.

You wonโ€™t be working on malware removal itself - instead, youโ€™ll help improve the workflows of the team by building small automation projects and utilities that assist in real-world cybersecurity operations. Think of it as engineering that supports analysis: report generators, data retrieval scripts, and tools that surface important artifacts for faster decision-making.

About the team:

The Malware Processing team is responsible for detecting and cleaning up malware on customer websites. Your work will support this effort indirectly by enabling our analysts to move faster and more accurately through internal tool development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement small Python-based tools to support internal workflows
  • Write and optimize SQL (PostgreSQL) queries to access and manipulate data
  • Assist in automating report generation and artifact collection from remote systems
  • Work closely with security analysts to identify bottlenecks and areas for automation

Requirements:

  • Confident in Python development
  • Comfortable with SQL (SELECTs, JOINs) and basic knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of client-server architecture concept
  • Educational background in Cybersecurity (completed at least 3 years of a degree program or a recent graduate)
  • Able to work full-time and reside within CET time zone (Georgia to Portugal)
  • GitHub profile showcasing completed projects (ideally Python-based)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with web servers or Linux environments
  • Exposure to basic security or malware concepts
