About You

Nutrafol is searching for a Senior Back-End Developer to focus on backend development on our Magento 2 platform. Our ideal candidate has both technical Magento 2 skills and “soft” skills like communication, time management, documentation, and collaboration. In-depth knowledge and fluency in Magento 2 is a must, as well as having solid experience working with a development team. We are looking for developers who combine creativity, curiosity, and drive to continuously perfect and revolutionize Nutrafol from the inside out.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom Magento 2 modules, and integrations.
  • Customize existing modules and extensions in the back-end admin.
  • Conceptualize requests and implementation.
  • Research, install, and configure various Magento 2 Extensions.
  • Create back-end code and interfaces for new web platforms.
  • Integrate with external systems including ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateway system, middleware, and other systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years Magento development experience, including hands-on experience with Magento 2 in an eCommerce company is required.
  • Deep experience with HTML, LESS, SCSS, and JavaScript
  • Advanced-level knowledge of PHP & other OOP languages
  • Competent with MySQL-based database concepts
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience working with Agile software development methodologies like Scrum; you’re able to apply the Agile values to your work and understand how they can add to your team’s success.
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills
  • You love mentoring and sharing knowledge with others and communicating complex ideas to others regardless of their background or technical nature
  • Hands-on expertise discovering, refining and documenting user and system requirements
  • Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code
  • You’ve built, broken, fixed and deploy web applications to production
  • Exceptional problem solving and collaboration skills, as well as a wicked sense of humor
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with using command line environments via ssh
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with AWS a plus
  • Server-side development experience
  • Open-source or community contributions
  • Examples of recent work, including projects on Github
  • Any other programming languages and frameworks
  • Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence and other product management tools
  • Experience in cross browser testing
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization practices performing keyword research, On-page optimization and link buildin

Nutrafol takes into consideration a wide range of factors in final compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. The listed range is applicable only to the annual base salary and does not include additional perks, benefits, or applicable bonus eligibility comprising the total compensation package.

Salary Range:

$150,000—$165,000 USD
