Based in Huntsville, ON, the Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager will report to the Structural Engineering Lead and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on business development, client and personnel management, and the preparation and review of technical deliverables for clients. You will be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for new and existing bridges, OSIM bridge inspections, new building designs and renovations, as well as structural condition assessments.

What You’ll Do:

As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:

  • Prepare design calculations and structural engineering modeling using design software for new and existing facilities
  • Manage a group of structural engineers and technologists
  • Function as Senior Engineer & Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery including bidding and proposal preparation, project setup, logistics, resource and technical planning and execution, billing and collections, and project budget management
  • Establish new projects and provide project updates to the Structural Engineering Lead and General Manager
  • Actively pursue business development opportunities and procure new clients
  • Manage engineering and design staff in project execution while providing mentorship and direction to your team
  • Complete, check, and seal technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, engineering calculations, and permit applications
  • Oversee client relations and engagement, lead client meetings, and ensure client satisfaction

What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related program. Additionally, you should have:

  • You must have a P.Eng. licence (required)
  • 10+ years of experience working in the design and management experience in the structural consulting industry
  • Experience managing and supervising other professionals
  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence
