Job Description

The Audio Director will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall sound strategy of the project, combining a traditional artistic approach with innovative technological elements.

  • Define the audio artistic direction of the project: sound effects, music, voice, sound ambiance.
  • Produce and supervise audio integration within the game engine (Snowdrop).
  • Collaborate with narrative, game design, GPP teams, sound designers, and ML engineers.
  • Participate in the creation of vocal datasets through actor recordings.
  • Evaluate and refine the quality of cloned voices in connection with ML models.
  • Contribute to the research and development of generative audio solutions (real-time voice, music, sound effects).
  • Define audio quality criteria and support the improvement of internal models.
  • Explore innovative approaches to enrich the player’s sound experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in audio direction within video games and strong proficiency with a game engine.
  • Knowledge of audio integration tools and production pipelines.
  • Ideally, a good understanding of machine learning-related challenges (text-to-speech, fine-tuning).
  • Ability to communicate with technical profiles (ML engineers, R&D).
  • Ability to imagine immersive and coherent audio experiences.
  • Collaborative mindset, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Autonomy, proactivity, and ability to work in an agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
