Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Backend Engineer to join our Payments and Billing Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that process payments, manage subscriptions, and handle billing for our customers. You will work closely with highly talented teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient operation of our payment infrastructure while delivering the best payments experience to our millions of users.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend systems for payments and billing.
Implement and optimize payment processing solutions, including integration with payment gateways and third-party services.
Develop and maintain APIs for payment processing, subscription management, and billing.
Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to payments and billing, ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
Perform code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and contribute to the overall quality of the codebase.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to payments and billing systems.
Qualifications:
- Ability to write clear and high performant code in Go, Java, or PHP.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with payment gateways and processing systems (e.g., Checkout, Stripe).
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of system design and architecting feature requests.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
