Job Description

As a Business/Data Analyst in Data Engineering Team, you will join a strategic global initiative aimed at unifying and automating financial, management, and regulatory reporting across multiple geographies (Europe, Americas, Asia). The program is built around a centralized Global Data Hub powered by certified data sources (Golden Sources) from the Data Lake ensuring high-quality, consistent, and regulatory-compliant reporting.

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of translating business needs into clear product features and working closely with technical teams to deliver impactful data solutions. You will play a key role in:

• Defining business requirements for scalable, user-friendly data solutions.

• Collaborating with stakeholders across various countries and teams to align global and local reporting needs.

• Support the business and functions in assessing current state operating model and translating it into target operating models.

Use SQL to analyze data, create/recreate reports/solutions according to the specifications of the requirements agreed with the users.

Use SQL to validate data quality of implemented solutions.

• Create competitive environment to set high standards, encourages and supports continual improvements within the team.

• You will create Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) and Functional Specification Documentation (FSDs).

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, using Scrum methodology for delivery.

• Align platform capabilities with data governance, quality, and lineage best practices.

• Document solutions in JIRA, Confluence, ALM.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of experience in Business/Data Analysis, ideally across multiple organizations.

• Proven experience working directly with software development teams and a solid understanding of the product development lifecycle.

• Hands-on experience in Agile frameworks such as SCRUM, with a strong product ownership mindset.

Basic knowledge about data platforms, data lake architectures, and data engineering workflows.

Proficiency in SQL and ability to interpret data models;

Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, capable of handling complex data analysis tasks.

• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Basic understanding of the banking and/or financial services industry, including shared services or regulatory reporting contexts.

• University degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics, IT or a related field.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.

• Very good command of English (B2+ or higher) in both spoken and written communication.

SOFT SKILLS:

• Proactive Attitude. Takes initiative and adopts a “leave it with me” approach to tasks.

• Resilience and Challenge-Oriented. Comfortable with not knowing everything immediately but is determined to find out and solve complex problems.

• Communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.

• Analytical Ability. Combine various sources of information to form a complete picture.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience working in regulated or complex environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, telecom).

• Some knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, JIRA, Confluence, and automated testing tools.

• Certification in Business or Data Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent) is a plus.

• Spanish language skills would be considered an advantage.

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, including data catalogs, access control, and lineage tracking.

• Exposure to modern data architecture concepts such as data mesh, lakehouse, or the modern data stack.
