Job Summary
TestPros is seeking a Certified Accessibility Consultant (IAAP/CPAAC) to support the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District program
Position: Part-time (15-25 hours a week), Contract (4–6 months)
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder
Location: Remote
Responsibilities and Duties
The Senior Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Analyst will support the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. The district is undertaking a 4–6 month Accessibility of Web Information and Services Project to ensure its websites and mobile applications comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the U.S. Department of Justice’s 2024 accessibility standards. The project includes auditing digital assets, developing a compliance plan, training staff, and validating accessibility improvements through a combination of certified consultants and native screen reader users.
The Certified Accessibility Consultant will lead the audit, compliance planning, training, and validation efforts to ensure that the Sewer District’s web content and mobile applications fully comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the DOJ’s 2024 ADA requirements.
Responsibilities:
Conduct a full audit of all public-facing web and mobile assets for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
Lead paired testing process with assistive technology users (e.g., screen reader testers).
Create a detailed accessibility compliance plan, including prioritization of issues and recommendations.
Collaborate with the District’s project team on remediation strategies and training.
Provide documentation and a final compliance report outlining the state of accessibility and next steps.
Qualifications:
IAAP CPACC certification required.
Minimum 3 years of experience auditing digital assets for accessibility compliance.
Demonstrated experience with state/local government websites or public utility systems.
Strong understanding of DOJ’s 2024 final rule and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
