Full-time employee - Sacramento

Salary: $120,000 - $145,000

Scope of Work:

Capio Group is looking for an experienced Data Architect/Analyst who will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive data models that support client’s analytics and business needs. The work will encompass creating models that consist of data pipelines, the structure of the data, physical and virtual instances of the data, and optimizing for the analytics performed on the modeled data.

The Data Architect/Analyst will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

  1. Data Modeling and Design
    1. Develop and maintain traditional data models for relational databases;
    2. Design application-supporting data models using advanced methodologies such as relational modeling, medallion architecture, and data modeling for cloud environments;
    3. Create data models tailored for artificial intelligence machine learning use cases specific to clients needs.
  2. Tool Proficiency
    1. Utilize Erwin Data Modeler software to design and maintain data models;
    2. Utilize Power BI to model data for visualization and analytics.
  3. Publishing and Documentation
    1. Support publishing and maintenance of data models on the clients intranet for organizational access;
    2. Create, document, and maintain analytical models to ensure data literacy and usability by business users.
  4. Knowledge Transfer
    1. Provide data modeling knowledge transfer sessions to clients team members and key business stakeholders, ensuring they understand and can apply relevant concepts and practices, and take ownership of all models created by the contractor. Advise the development and maintenance of data models by state staff.

Mandatory Experience:

  1. Must have a minimum five (5) years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex data models in Snowflake.
  2. Must have a minimum five (5) years of experience and knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, report development, and performance optimization.
  3. Must have a minimum five (5) years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex relational data models, including working with Oracle databases and managing Data Definition Language (DDL) scripts.
  4. Must have a minimum five (5) years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining AI/Machine Learning-specific data models.
  5. Must have a minimum five (5) years of experience with Erwin Data Modeler.
