Position Summary:

The Director, Implementation role is a key leadership role within QuartzBio’s Managed Services group, responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of QuartzBio’s SaaS solutions, focusing on biomarker intelligence. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring the implementation team delivers high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions that align with customer needs and business goals within the biomarker data. As a people manager, the Director will lead and mentor a team of implementation consultants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer-centricity.

This role will be responsible for leading configuration requirements discussions with pharma and biotech customers, organizing the setup of automated workflows on our platform, and serve as the subject matter expert on biopharma customer data and processes. This role will lead the configuration and execution of client implementations of solutions within QuartzBio’s product portfolio, including but not limited to the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), biomarker intelligence, and AI agent intelligence.

As we continue to expand QuartzBio’s Managed Services team, we are seeking a highly experienced Director, Implementation to lead the overall biomarker intelligence implementation strategy and manage a growing team of implementation consultants to deliver a high-quality software experience. The successful candidate will have extensive technical expertise and proven experience in managing complex customer-facing projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of various products for customers by working closely with customers to understand and document requirements and executing those requirements into fully integrated and configured solutions.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance productivity, quality, and enable scalability.
  • Develop and execute the implementation strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives, ensuring the successful deployment of our SaaS solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to ensure seamless integration of products into customer environments and processes.
  • Train customers on best practices related to our products.
  • Provide solutions to address specific customer challenges.
  • Perform work on complex problems of advanced scope and takes the lead in managing projects to completion
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Implementation Consultants, providing guidance on best practices, professional development, and career progression.
  • Extended work hours may be required to meet business demands
  • Define and execute the overall strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives.
  • Lead and manage multiple teams or departments.
  • Act as a key decision-maker in executive discussions.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and timelines.
  • Continuously improve processes, methodologies, and tools ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, repeatable, and secure.
  • Mentor and coach managers and team members to help them achieve their career goals.
  • Develops project specifications from business requirements in consultation with end users.
  • Communicate effectively with executive management and stakeholders.
  • Manage the project portfolio and ensure project goals are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement strategies and roadmaps.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and third-party providers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree related field and a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in biomarker data and systems management, implementation consulting or technical solutions with a
    • Bachelor’s degree + 15 years of relevant experience
    • Master’s degree + 10 years of relevant experience
    • PhD + 5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing teams.
  • 8-10 years of experience working in a customer-facing role and leading projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale, complex implementation projects for enterprise clients, particularly in the pharma R&D data domain.
  • Ability to identify and leverage existing technologies, internal and external, to address unique challenges.
  • Extremely strong communications skills, able to effectively lead discussions across variety of topics with an audience of widely divergent experience, background, and educational levels.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to build strong relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders, especially in the sample management industry.
  • Comfort working in highly complex, interdependent systems with varying levels of access, flexibility, and input

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
