Director of Ad Operations – CTV Supply
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the Ad Operations team, cultivating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Define and execute strategic initiatives that align with company growth goals, particularly in CTV supply and programmatic delivery
- Ensure the team has access to the necessary tools, training, and resources to excel
- Lead SSP/DSP training sessions for new team members
- Campaign Management:
- Oversee end-to-end management of programmatic CTV campaigns: setup, trafficking, optimization, troubleshooting, and reporting
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed performance benchmarks
- Collaborate with Sales, Client Services, Media, and Analytics teams
- Validate tag functionality and troubleshoot technical issues
- Plan and forecast inventory availability across platforms
- Operational Excellence:
- Develop and implement best practices, processes, and workflows
- Monitor and analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Design and optimize PMP deals to maximize yield
- Manage inventory quality and work with third-party verification vendors
- Prioritize work, understanding inbound requests and upcoming deadlines across the business
- Create best practices in the department to scale the onboarding, testing, and deployment of partners
- Technology & Innovation:
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to enhance platforms
- Evaluate and integrate third-party tools
- Relationship Management:
- Serve as the strategic point of contact for stakeholders
- Develop and maintain relationships with DSP, SSP, and demand partners
- Negotiate and manage partner agreements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 8+ years in digital ad operations, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role
- Proven track record managing CTV and programmatic campaigns at scale
- Hands-on experience with SSPs, DSPs, and ad serving platforms (e.g., FreeWheel, Xandr, Google Ad Manager, Magnite, PubMatic)
- Strong understanding of PMP deal structures, inventory monetization, and yield optimization
- Familiarity with third-party verification tools (IAS, DoubleVerify, Moat)
- Deep knowledge of industry standards (IAB guidelines, VAST/VPAID, OpenRTB)
- Exceptional leadership and team development abilities
- Analytical mindset with strong reporting and data interpretation skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management capabilities.
- Understanding of Audience Targeting: Ability to target specific demographics, psychographics, and behaviors effectively.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize campaigns based on data insights (e.g., CPC, CPM, CPA).
- Analytics & Reporting: Experience using analytics tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, or similar to track, report, and optimize campaigns.

- Experience with cross-functional collaboration across creative, strategy, and analytics teams.
- Strong presentation and communication skills for client and internal stakeholder engagement.
- Experience building consistent brand voice and messaging.
- Ability to evaluate media campaign performance using KPIs like ROI, reach, frequency, conversions, and engagement.
- Familiarity with advanced programmatic TV targeting and measurement methodologies.
- Presentation & Communication Skills: Strong ability to present ideas, strategies, and performance results to clients in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Brand Voice & Messaging: Experience working with clients to develop consistent messaging and tone that aligns with their brand identity.
- Campaign Performance Analysis: Ability to evaluate media campaign performance using KPIs like ROI, reach, frequency, conversions, and engagement metrics.
