High Tech Genesis is on the hunt for a top-notch DO-178 Compliance Managerto join our crew!

You will lead with expertise in:

• Develop and manage safety plans ensuring compliance with DO-178C DAL A standards.

• Oversee software development processes, code hardening, verification and validation, ensuring adherence to the highest safety and reliability standards.

• Conduct thorough safety assessments, hazard analyses, and risk mitigation.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for safety plans, processes, and compliance activities.

• Prepare for and support internal and external compliance audits.

• Provide guidance and training on DO-178C standards and safety practices.

• Implement best practices for process improvements in safety and reliability.

• Communicate safety objectives and requirements effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Investigate safety incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

Deep understanding of DO-178C standards, particularly for DAL A certification, and familiarity with related standards:

1. Knowledge of requirements

2. Software high-level and low-level

3. Knowledge of verification

4. How to test requirements according to our plan (and thus meeting DO-178C)

5. How to know if a peer review was performed correctly

6. Understands structural coverage analysis (code and architecture)

7. Knowledge of tool qualification

8. A willingness to dig in at the RTOS, BSP, library level

• 7 years’ experience in software development, with at least 5 years focused on safety-critical systems and DO-178C compliance

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively

• Meticulous attention to safety and compliance standards

• Relevant certifications (e.g., DO-178C, FAA DER) are highly desirable

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency with safety, verification, and code analysis tools

• Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and V-Model software development methodologies

• Background in the aerospace industry and understanding of regulatory requirements

Soft skills:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively

• Meticulous attention to safety and compliance standards
