CloudHire is seeking a Full-Stack WordPress Developer to work remotely on the development of WordPress websites. The developer will be responsible for front-end and back-end development, ensuring quality, communicating effectively, and helping integrate new developers into the team.
Requirements
- 6+ Years of experience
- Excellent Communication skills
- Good experience with git
- Write reliable and maintainable code
- Spot poor-quality code
- Knows WordPress inside and out
- Has worked with the most popular WordPress plugins
- Extensive hands-on experience with ACF, Yoast, WPML
- Proficient WordPress developer
- Experienced with WordPress API
- Knowledge of the most common hooks and filters
- Advanced user knowledge of WordPress
- Knows the impact of specific WordPress features/plugins on frontend development
- Experienced with SCSS
- Is a specialist in CSS and JS
- Is up to date with the latest CSS/JS techniques
Responsibilities
- Develop technical tasks from simple to complex
- Handle most of your own scoping
- Deploy your own tasks
- Ensure deliverables are tested and uphold quality standards
- Work self-sufficiently and research technical solutions on your own
- Deliver tasks on time and budget or inform otherwise
- Review task budget and determine appropriateness
- Provide timely feedback and status updates
- Communicate clearly about technical issues
- Know when challenges need escalation
- Help integrate new developers into the team (fill the role of buddy for new developers)
- Keep up to date with latest programming developments
