About the Role — Mission Control (What You Own + How You Operate)
As Head of Growth, you’re the CMO/GM of one or a few hero product lines. You own the number end-to-end - acquisition, funnel/CRO, lifecycle, and new channels, and you run a fast operating system that ships tests weekly and scales what works.
- Own the Altimeter. Set the 12-month revenue course, payback/MER guardrails, and quarterly roadmap. Adjust fast when headwinds hit.
- Autonomy within guardrails. Inside agreed payback/MER bands, you make spend shifts, launch/kill calls, and roadmap moves.
- Write the story. Positioning, angles, hook library, and creative playbook that make people stop, watch, and buy.
- Architect the offer. Bundles, pricing, financing, guarantees, promos— test it, prove it, scale it.
- Scale acquisition. Orchestrate Meta/Google/YT; pilot TikTok/CTV/affiliates from 0 → 7 figures if they earn it.
- Spin the creative flywheel. With Creative, ship 150+ ad iterations a month and hunt 5+ scalable winners/month; protect learning (ad-ID hygiene, pre-flight, rollback).
- Own the funnel. PDPs, checkout, configurator/3-D, lead-to-call—ship tests weekly, and remove friction.
- Grow owned revenue. Push Email/SMS/CRM so your line hits ≥35% of topline; segment by behavior (configurator depth, financing starts, content consumed).
- Evidence over vibes. Run lift/holdouts + our MTA; publish one-pagers that reallocate dollars with proof.
- Build your crew. Direct a dedicated pod (buyers, creative, lifecycle, analyst). Reprioritize work, set weekly goals, and unblock fast.
- Cross-functional glue. Keep Product, Supply, Finance, CX, and Sales in lockstep so scale never breaks the machine.
- Automate & accelerate. Use Gen-AI for creative iteration, reporting, forecasts, and funnel ideation—humans focus on big swings.
You’re a Perfect Fit If You
- Bring 8+ impact years in e-commerce/DTC growth, with at least 2 as VP/Head/Director.
- Have proven track-record of scaling brands (1-2+ big scale-ups).
- Worked in companies doing at least $30M-$100M yearly.
- Have proven success overlooking $1M/mo+ budgets across multiple channels.
- Understand Meta & Google deeply enough to lead a media buying team, even if not in the weeds daily.
- Built lifecycle programs where owned channels drove 30%+ of revenue.
- Practitioner-level with attribution (MTA/MMM/incrementality).
- Led remote, multi-disciplinary teams of 5-10 FTEs.
- Fluent with Gen-AI workflows for creative, reporting, and funnel testing.
