Job Description:
As an Android Developer at Schoox, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our Android applications that enable millions of learners worldwide. You’ll join a team of highly-skilled developers and work in a fast-paced corporate environment where you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and make a difference.
Responsibilities:
Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
Implement new features in Kotlin using MVVM, Repository pattern, and clean architecture
Maintain and refactor parts of our legacy codebase written in Java
Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
Leverage and contribute to our shared Design System for consistent UI across platforms
Work with outside data sources and APIs
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Minimum 1 year of experience in Android development
Proficient in Kotlin, with solid understanding of Java
Hands-on experience with MVVM, Repository pattern, and modern Android architecture
Familiarity with Git technology as well as Server communication technologies (HTTP, REST, etc.)
Comfortable working with existing Java code when needed
Fluency in English & Greek
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent proven experience in the field
