About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Moodle Learning Designer, who can hit the ground running, delivering dynamic implementations to our clients. This role will initially support our current body of clients in the US, but will be prepared to pivot as we develop our implementation program in India and other parts of the globe.
With the pace of Moodle, no two days will ever be the same! You will:
- Take a consultative approach to help clients get to a fully functioning Moodle implementation, including: needs analysis, site configuration, user management, course design, and alignment to learning outcomes
- Engage clients in authentic learning experiences
- Problem solve and find ways to solve clients’ needs in flexible and creative ways
- Collaborate with other team members
- Liaise with IT and Development Teams to deliver on technical requirements and custom development needs
- Contribute to special projects
- Maintain an understanding of business goals, industry landscape, and new innovations through engaging in professional development

What You’ll Do
Most days in this role usually involve a mix of:
- Guiding new client implementations, consulting with and teaching them how to use Moodle, ensuring the client has the tools and setup they need to run a successful LMS
- Applying project management principles and tools to direct the implementation process to deliver results on time, on budget, and within scope
- Leading or participating in cadence meetings with clients
- Maintaining a deep understanding of business goals, industry landscape, existing training, and target audiences
- Developing and maintaining training materials, documentation, manuals, quick- reference guides, and other training resources
- As the main point of contact for a client, liaises with IT and Dev team members as needed to ensure technical, integration, and/or customization requirements are scoped, developed, reviewed for Quality (QA), and delivered according to specifications in a timely manner
- Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to apply a variety of Instructional Design models and techniques to learning problems and executes the development of instructionally sound online content. Moodle native activity types are our preferred method, occasionally SCORM tools are used.
- Designing, implementing, and driving continuous improvement of end-to-end learning processes
- Keeping informed of new innovations in both learning design and evaluation

Especially if you can tell us about your:
- Passion for Moodle and/or drive to improve online learning experiences through instructional design
- Drive to problem-solve and seek creative solutions
- Ability to view the client implementation as your own and work independently
- Ethical obligation to advocate for universal design and accessibility standards
- Solid experience with course building in Moodle LMS (3 or more years)
- A degree in education, adult learning, instructional design, related field or equivalent experience would be ideal, but is not essential
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
- Moodle Admin experience
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you have:
- Experience with Moodle Workplace
- Other LMS admin experience
- Project management experience and/or certifications
- Course building in SCORM
- Additional Languages: Hindi, Bengali
