Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
- As a Picker you will provide daily support to the Kitchen team by completing daily inventory picking from outside storage facilities.
- Work with the Kitchen team to deliver meal/sandwiches to offsite catering facilities, complete the production sheet, and conduct a temperature check of catering coolers/fridges.
- Conduct daily temperature monitoring of Inventory storage facilities, and report to Supervisor/Chef when maintenance is required.
- Identify and promptly address any safety issues that may be found in Inventory storage facilities and report to Supervisor/Chef when further maintenance is required.
- Coordinate and facilitate access to all items in Inventory facilities by condensing and organizing Inventory, conducting inventory counts as directed by your Supervisor/Chef.
- Stocking shelves, coolers, and freezers inside the Kitchen storage areas with product brought in from outside storage areas.
- Take care of inside kitchen storage organization, back dry storage, freezers, and coolers.
- Collaborate with Kitchen team and chef to ensure consistency and accuracy of inventory reporting and administration.
- Assist with outside storage facilities physical inventory counts, as required.
- Assist with receiving new product, delivery manifests, Storage facilities layout/ organization.
- Assist GH to clean and sanitize designated kitchen areas.
- Assist GH to wash and ensure all dishware, pots, tools, glassware and kitchen equipment are sanitized and cleaned.
- Assist GH to ensure the overall dining room area is clean and neat including sweeping and moping dining room floors.
- Assist GH to ensure all condiments, desserts, beverages, utensils and other items are properly stocked and available.
- Assist with general food preparation in the kitchen.
- Replenish desserts, beverages and condiments as required daily.
- Assist GH to clean and sanitize all pots, dishes, glasses, cups, etc., after each meal and as required.
- Wipe, clean, and sanitize all equipment surfaces throughout the dishwashing department during and or after completion of meal service.
- Transfer dishes and equipment between work areas and storage areas by hand, using trays or carts.
- Ensure health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintained.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position requires travel to various locations on site
- This position may require working in confined spaces
- This job is physically demanding, it requires long working hours in remote camps and extreme weather conditions.
- The incumbent must have the ability to stand for a long period of time and should be able to lift or move up to 35lbs.
- The incumbent will lift, bend, kneel and squat regularly.
Qualifications

- A valid driver licence & valid skid steer training an asset
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skill
- A positive, enthusiastic, and empathetic attitude.
- A willingness to learn and understand the Kitchen inventory system.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work in different settings and situations.
- This position requires lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects and equipment.
- The candidate will have strong organisational skills.
- The candidate is willing to support team members nor work area as required.

Work schedule and remuneration:
Picker/General Helpers work on a rotational schedule of 3 weeks on/3 weeks off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays. Wages are paid on an hourly basis and include a starting rate of $19.70.
