Product Manager – Clinical Systems

Are you an experienced Project and Product Manager with a background in Clinical Systems space?  Is ensuring customers have the support they need to manage their systems needs and triage escalations your driving motivation?  Our Corporate IT team is hiring a Product Manager to support our Clinical Systems that are the backbone of our Clinical Trials teams.

THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE OPPORTUNITY, but job seekers must currently reside in India.

About You:

  • You have a strong background in Project Management and Change Management at the Systems level, and are able to work with business users to understand their needs and manage escalations.
  • You have experience working with Clinical and Healthcare data systems, and understand validation and privacy needs.

About The Role:

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and internal stakeholder requirements, defining the product roadmap, and working closely with Technology, Quality Compliance and Operations to ensure systems are maintained in a validated state.

Reporting to the Business Relationship Manager, the Product Manager will work in close partnership with the vendor as well as the product configuration teams, operations, and technical teams to facilitate the oversight and management of COTS systems.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision.
  • Work with project team on timelines for new technologies and releases/upgrades for existing applications
  • Review and determine applicability of releases/upgrades for existing applications.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features and products.
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for the product and lead the effort to integrate current applications with other PFM systems/solutions.
  • Work with Product Support teams to create test plans.
  • Serve as point of contact for managed products and become the go-to person for all IT related issues.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Manage all lifecycle stages for a product from ideation through sunset, with responsibility for ensuring that deliverables are understood, and releases are delivered on time.
  • Reviews new capabilities/products by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development and potential for inclusion in IT Roadmap.
  • Interact with application vendor or development team to implement application enhancements or resolve bugs.
  • Measure and track cost of ownership for each platform
  • Could manage multiple products, depending on the size of the products.
  • Acts as single point of contact for internal customers for all platform related escalations.
  • Participates in client audits as the Subject matter expert for the platform(s).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within CRO
  • Data-oriented, independent self-starter.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong Project Management skills

Other Preferences:

  • Experience with the Deployment and Management of Commercial Off the Shelf products.
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience with application change control.
