About the position

Quality Assurance and Authoring can be complex, but you make it simple and help ensure a seamless user journey for our client’s digital experiences used by millions of users. Quality Assurance is an important step in the website development process. You want people who visit our site to feel confident about the quality of the information they find.

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Tech QAA Tester to join our marketing agency. As a Tech QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our digital marketing campaigns, websites, applications, content author and other tech-driven initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough testing and analysis of digital assets to identify any defects, bugs, or usability issues, ensuring a seamless user experience for our clients and their customers and create or update content on a CMS platform.

Job Description:

  • Gives support to any QAA member if needed.

  • Test Planning: Collaborate with project managers, developers, and designers to understand project requirements, objectives, and specifications. Create detailed test plans and strategies for each project or campaign.

  • Test Execution: Perform comprehensive testing (functionality and visual) across various digital platforms, including websites, landing pages, mobile & web applications, email campaigns, games, animated banners and other marketing assets. Execute functional, regression, performance, compatibility, tracking/analytics or data collecting and usability tests to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies.

  • Bug Reporting: Clearly document and report identified issues (Dev or UX/UI) using appropriate bug tracking systems or project management tools (Jira). Provide detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and any other relevant information to facilitate efficient bug resolution.

  • Issue Analysis: Collaborate with the development and design teams to analyze and diagnose issues, providing additional information or reproducing errors as necessary. Assist in troubleshooting and debugging efforts to identify the root cause of defects.

  • Test Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Document test results, including successes and failures, and track progress throughout the testing lifecycle.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends. Proactively suggest process improvements, automation opportunities, and testing methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality assurance processes.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, developers, content creators, and digital marketers to ensure all aspects of a project are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards.

  • User Experience (UX) Evaluation: Assess the user experience of digital assets, identifying areas for improvement in terms of usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction. Provide feedback and suggestions to the design and development teams to enhance the user journey.

  • Create and update project documentation for instructions and training purposes.

  • Participate or teach in working tutorials sessions any learn paths, best practices, projects details or any other relevant information to be shared with the QA Team.

  • Creation and maintenance of content for webpages that are intended for global audiences through CMS authoring tools.

  • Follow company technical (Agile bases) and corporate processes.

  • Provide status updates of open tasks to Project Managers, QAA Manager and/or clients.

  • Daily record time invested in projects.

  • English speaking, reading, and writing.

  • Advance computer knowledge.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience as a QA Tester, Content Author, Copywriter or in a similar role, preferably within a marketing agency or digital environment.

  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and QA processes.

  • Proficiency in using bug tracking tools, such as JIRA or Monday, and familiarity with project management tools like Smartsheet, 10K, Monday, etc.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively report bugs and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore), and testing tools (Selenium, TestComplete, BrowserStack, Katalon) is a plus.

  • Experience with test automation and scripting is desirable.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • 3 years of experience as a developer, QA Engineer, SDET or similar roles on the technological field.
