SOFTGAMES is seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist with expertise in AI-driven content creation. As a trailblazer in our studio, you will play a key role in transforming how we produce art assets for our live games. Your mission will be to integrate advanced AI models, streamline production processes, and ensure that the quality of our content meets or exceeds industry standards.

While the core focus of this role is AI-driven art production, we are looking for someone who goes beyond prompt creation. You should have a strong foundation as a Technical Artist, with the ability to optimize production pipelines for efficiency, scalability, and technical excellence.

** Qualified applicants will be expected to complete a graphics test.

Your role

  • Build and optimize AI-driven art production processes to support live game operations. While boosting efficiency, ensuring the visual quality and unique feel of our games are always maintained.

  • Inspiring and mentor the team by sharing knowledge and offering training.

  • Stay up-to-date with AI and game development advancements to keep SOFTGAMES at the forefront of innovation.

  • Further develop & maintain clear documentation and support material on tool use, best practices, and workflows.

  • Continually analyze and improve upon existing art and animation workflows. Identify bottlenecks, suggest improvements, and implement optimized pipelines to reduce iteration time.

  • Collaborate across teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth, efficient art and development workflows.

Your profile

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry.

  • Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of different artistic styles.

  • Is familiar with generative AI tools (Primarily tools like Layer AI, Scenario, ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, FLUX, Midjorney, comfyUI etc.)

  • HasprovenexperienceontrainingAI-modelsonin-houseassetstoincreaseoutputof assetsinourstyle

  • Deep understanding of technical art processes in a gaming environment. Isabletocreatetoolingtohelpourartteam(spinetools,Unitytools,Photoshoptools etc)

  • Deep understanding of 2D asset optimisation

  • Knowledge of HTML5 for web-based content or game assets.

  • Experience working with game engines (Unity, Unreal), pipelines, and asset management systems.

  • Ability to document workflows and provide clear technical guidance to teams.

  • Experience working in casual games or mobile game development.

  • Strong fluency in English, both written and verbal.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in resolving technical art challenges.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt to new technologies, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
