Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on SAP Technical Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of our SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition landscape. This critical role blends deep technical expertise with architectural vision to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP solutions. The ideal candidate is not only technically adept but also strategic, capable of defining development standards, guiding architecture decisions, and mentoring developers while being actively involved in the implementation lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the technical architecture design for SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.
- Define and enforce coding standards, development guidelines, and technical governance practices across SAP projects.
- Develop and review technical specifications, ensuring quality and consistency of custom development in S/4HANA cloud environments.
- Provide architectural guidance and hands-on expertise in:
- SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
- SAP Integration Suite
- Fiori/UI5 development and theming
- In-app and side-by-side extensibility frameworks
- Architect and oversee integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP BTP, APIs, and event-driven models.
- Perform impact analysis of SAP S/4HANA semi-annual cloud upgrades, guiding necessary technical adjustments.
- Ensure effective usage of SAP Cloud ALM for monitoring, operations, alerting, and change control.
- Govern and optimize ABAP development practices within a cloud environment, including RAP (RESTful Application Programming) model.
- Oversee system configuration activities, transport management, environment refreshes, and user/role provisioning in coordination with Basis and Security teams.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and business stakeholders to design compliant, scalable, and reusable solutions.
- Lead or participate in solution reviews, proof of concepts, and technical design workshops.
Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud certification(s) required; architecture-focused certifications preferred.
- 15+ years of SAP technical experience, including:
- SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition
- Proven hands-on experience building and governing technical architectures in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with:
- SAP BTP services and extensibility patterns
- SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management)
- SAP Fiori/UI5 application design
- ABAP for Cloud, CDS views, BAdIs, and enhancements within clean core principles
- Familiarity with SAP RAP, CAP, and cloud-native development frameworks.
- Deep understanding of transport mechanisms, system landscapes, and lifecycle management in SAP cloud deployments.
- Experience using SAP Cloud ALM for end-to-end monitoring, testing, and deployment orchestration.
- Expertise in agile methodologies and DevOps practices within the SAP ecosystem, including CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
- Experience in data migration and transformation tools like SAP Data Services, LTMC, SQL, and custom ETL logic.

- Strategic thinker with a strong architectural mindset and attention to technical detail.
- Proven ability to mentor developers and establish scalable technical patterns and development frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading technical workstreams and participating in enterprise-level SAP programs.
