The Opportunity

Our Cyber Resilience team is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Crisis Simulation Designer to play a pivotal role in the continued success of our leading Crisis Sim product. You will also help with the exciting development of our expanding Cyber Drill solution. As one of our in-house subject matter experts on crisis simulations, you will be instrumental in shaping our product strategy, engaging our customers, and creating world-class custom simulation experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of crafting engaging tabletop crisis simulations and a passion for developing realistic and impactful learning experiences. You will be adept at collaborating directly with customers to understand their unique needs and translating those insights into tailored crisis scenarios. Furthermore, you will have the ability to create rich media, understand AI concepts to help enable and accelerate your creations to enhance the immersive quality of our simulations and possess the skills to consult, design, develop, build and deliver class-leading simulations that resonate with customers from all sectors and all regulatory frameworks.

What You’ll Do

This critical role directly contributes to our revenue growth and customer success. You will be the subject matter expert, the main creator of Cris Simulations, providing strategic direction and guidance to various internal and external stakeholders:

  • Cyber Resilience Team: You will be embedded within this team and one of the premium consultants to create Crisis Sims into the programs the team delivers. You will be the SME in the team for this capability

  • Security Engineering Consultants: Creating compelling simulations that will form part of any presales proof of concept or proof of value

  • Customer Success Team: Providing the Customer Success Teams globally with SME guidance and support in the Crisis Simulation design, creation, and implementation capability

  • Product Team: Assisting in creating industry-leading Crisis Sim and Cyber Drill solutions and helping maintain the catalogue of Crisis Sims

  • Product Marketing & Cyber Drills: Providing insights into the competitive landscape, industry trends, and strategic recommendations for our product positioning

  • Revenue, Customer Marketing, & Community Teams: Creating compelling ‘event’ crisis simulations and thought leadership content for marketing initiatives and our community engagement

  • Customers: Developing and maintaining a high-quality catalogue of crisis scenarios, providing customer enablement, and supporting the delivery of custom exercises

  • Partners: Collaborating with partners and the enablement team to provide subject matter expertise and guidance for creating Crisis Sims

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of experience designing and creating crisis management and incident response exercises

  • Demonstrable experience in capturing requirements and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives within deadlines

  • Evidence of effective cross-functional collaboration to achieve business goals

  • Experience working in a demanding and agile environment, managing changing priorities and competing demands

  • Demonstrable experience working with large, global, or government organizations

  • Experience developing threat and risk-based scenarios for large organizations

  • Knowledge of Incident Response (IR) frameworks and Crisis Management structures and strategies, particularly in large organizations (cyber and non-cyber)

  • Familiarity with Business Continuity Planning frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO standards, DORA, GDPR, PCI -DSS, etc)

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise executive-level summaries under pressure

  • Ability to create exercises for C-Suite engagements. Ability to create C Suite-level after-event reports on post-simulation and make recommendations to prove and improve

  • Ability to create exercises for wide company engagements, translate the results to after-event reports on post-simulation and make recommendations to prove and improve

  • The ability to self-project manage and deliver first-class deliverables on time in a high-tempo environment

  • Understanding of human factors, human vulnerabilities, and behavior change principles.

  • Knowledge of common enterprise-level organizational structures

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently facilitate exercises for diverse audiences

Immersive’s commitment to fair and equitable compensation practices means that our compensation & benefits team prices each individual role before it is opened. Each team member is eligible for a compensation plan made up of a base salary + bonus (either annual or variable commission, depending on role)  + equity. We expect most candidates for this position to fall within a base salary range of $116,250 - $166,875, though the specific package will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience.
