Job description
The Senior Director, Business Operations - Transformation and AI will transform our Public Cloud Operations into a consolidated efficient organization across all operations disciplines. This role will also be responsible for implementing our AI foundation that enables a skilled operations team to run the business with strategic best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes departmental goals and objectives ensuring alignment with the business unit and works cross functionally with other business leaders, and works on business issues that affect and improve Rackspace as a company, in addition to their team’s goals.
- Works with departmental leaders directly to provide solutions on a variety of programs that are mission critical to the on-going success of the business.
- Drives resolution of strategic issues affecting current and future business.
- Manages relationships with internal and external strategic partners.
- Accountable for core operational processes, such as capitalization, workforce planning, reporting, and budget management, and insures that weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business activities occur on-schedule.
- Creates, deploys, and insures continual operation of core business processes.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where data requires complex analysis.
Knowledge
- Expert-level understanding of Rackspace’s strategic partners, vision, and roadmap.
- Expert-level knowledge of competitors’ offerings, as well as their strengths and weaknesses is essential.
- AI expertise along with operations experience across the 5 disciplines of operations (Business, Sales, Partner/Hyperscaler, GTM/Account Management and Delivery).
- Experience operating both hyperscaler/resale operations and services operations.
- Experience in large transformation on a global scale will be required.
- Ability to work with C-Suite Leaders, primarily in the US time zone, to plan and execute.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or regional equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in field related to role. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute degree requirement.
- Master’s degree in related field preferred.
- 10 – 15 years of relevant work experience required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct people management required.

- Up to 25%.
$201,900 - $344,960 a year
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $201,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $344,960/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
