About the role

We’re looking for an Interim Treasury Lead to step into a key role while our current Senior Treasury Manager goes on maternity leave. You’ll join Pleo’s Treasury team during a pivotal moment: we’re scaling fast, preparing for IPO-readiness, and about to implement our first-ever Treasury Management System (TMS).

This is a 12-month contract starting in September 2025, with a full handover to set you up for success. You will play a key role in delivering Treasury priorities during a critical growth phase; with a clear strategic direction already in place, your focus will be on execution, continuity, and impact.

What you’ll be doing

As Interim Treasury Lead, you will:

  • Oversee the execution of day-to-day Treasury operations across all entities and currencies - including cash positioning, liquidity planning, and global cash visibility - ensuring appropriate controls, senior review, and policy alignment.
  • Act as Treasury lead on our TMS implementation - collaborating with vendors and internal teams through design, testing, and go-live, keeping delivery on track.
  • Manage Pleo’s banking infrastructure, including account management, signatory governance, fee reviews, and counterparty exposure monitoring.
  • Support investment execution and financial risk analysis, including FX and interest rate sensitivity tracking, policy compliance, and Risk Committee reporting.
  • Maintain strong governance and controls, ensuring audit-readiness and alignment with our Treasury roadmap for IPO readiness.

What you bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • 7+ years’ experience in Treasury, with solid grounding in cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships
  • Direct exposure to TMS implementation (any system – we value the process experience!)
  • A strong understanding of Treasury policy, compliance, and internal controls
  • Confidence managing complex multi-entity, multi-currency environments
  • A proactive, structured, and collaborative mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, Legal, Product, and Tech
  • Experience in high-growth or regulated environments is a plus

Who you’ll be working with and reporting to

You’ll report to our Head of Finance, and work closely with the Senior Treasurer during the handover period. You’ll also partner with the Treasury Analyst, and collaborate with teams in Accounting, Compliance, Payments Infrastructure, Legal, and our TMS vendor throughout the project.

How you’ll develop in this role In your first few months, you’ll:

  • Quickly onboard into Treasury operations and assume oversight from the current Senior Treasurer
  • Take the lead on TMS delivery milestones (e.g. vendor coordination, system testing)
  • Deliver month-end reporting, maintain controls, and manage banking activity
  • Provide senior review on daily liquidity and operational decisions in coordination with our Treasury Analyst
  • Help keep Treasury on track for IPO readiness milestones in 2026
