As a fully remote company (even before COVID!), we welcome applicants from almost anywhere. Our team collaborates synchronously mostly from 9 AM – 2 PM PT and embraces asynchronous work to stay connected across time zones.

The Role
We’re looking for a Visual Storyteller who can craft compelling narratives from raw footage, creator content, and motion graphics. This isn’t just an editing role—it’s about shaping stories that connect, convert, and feel uniquely human across YouTube, social, and CTV. You should have a sharp instinct for structure, pacing, and tone, as well as the technical ability to bring moments to life through thoughtful animation and motion design. You’ll collaborate closely with our creative production and growth teams to produce high-impact videos that drive measurable results while elevating the Monarch brand.
Key Responsibilities
Edit short- and long-form videos for paid social ads, YouTube content, and CTV placements
Craft story arcs without a traditional shot list or script, using intuition, structure, and creative judgment
Create simple animations and motion graphics in After Effects to enhance storytelling and brand cohesion
Collaborate with producers and UGC specialists to bring creative concepts to life
Deliver platform-optimized cuts that align with brand voice, performance data, and audience expectations
Organize, tag, and manage video assets and project files for future use and iteration
Adapt quickly to feedback, performance insights, and changing priorities
What You Bring
5–7+ years of experience editing digital video content for performance and/or storytelling
Strong portfolio showcasing range across platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Meta, and CTV
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects (Audition and Figma are a plus)
Experience editing both scripted and UGC-style content
A deep understanding of pacing, tone, and structure across various video formats
A collaborative, low-ego approach and strong instincts for great creative.
Comfortable working quickly, testing creative, and iterating based on performance data
