Our flagship campus is in Sydney, and with most of the team based here, you’ll work in a hybrid way from our Sydney campus.
About the Role
The mission of the role is to be the heart, soul and operational engine of our Security & Trust SuperGroup which is a team of 150 engineers. Reporting to Security & Trust’s Chief of Staff, you’ll partner closely with the Supergroup Leadership, and cross-functional teams to build operational excellence, support our teams deliver our crazy big company goals, and cultivate an environment where every Canvanaut in the supergroup can do the best work of their lives.
Using your experience in enablement, program/project management, organisational change, and relationship-building, you’ll bring clarity, cadence and cohesion to the highly cross-functional work that drives the Supergroup forward. You’ll be the connector, orchestrator, communicator, and all round good vibe who keeps our teams aligned, empowered, and celebrating impact along the way.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that’s all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you’ll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
Driving Operational Cadence & Goal Delivery
Build and maintain robust operational rhythms for Security & Trust, ensuring our teams have clarity, visibility, and accountability toward delivering our Supergroup and company-level goals.
Partner with Group Leadership to drive planning, execution and progress tracking across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Bring structure to ambiguity by breaking big picture projects into manageable, trackable workstreams.
Championing Exceptional Communication & Vibes
Act as the communication conduit across teams, ensuring the right people have the right context at the right time.
Distill complexity into simple, engaging updates for audiences across all levels — from group-wide messages to leadership briefings.
Help shape the cultural heartbeat of Security & Trust through consistent positive energy, strong relationships, and exceptional interpersonal leadership.
Designing & Delivering Events, Rituals & Bonding
Support leads in designing and delivering impactful onsites, team forums, and other connection rituals.
Support celebration and connection by supporting our teams to coordinate team bonding, celebrations, milestone recognition and Supergroup-wide moments of magic.
Oversee relevant budgets and ensure celebrations and cultural initiatives are thoughtful, inclusive and aligned to our values.
Support with the coordianation of Security & Trust’s All Hands, Show & Tells and other large scale forums.
Owning Cross-Functional Programs & Special Initiatives
Take full ownership of high-impact cross-functional programs that need clarity, momentum, and strong coordination.
Support leads in building and delivering strategic programs and seasonal initiatives.
Anticipate emerging friction points and proactively design lightweight solutions, experiments and improvements.
Celebrating Impact & Telling Our Story
Track, synthesise and communicate progress and business impact across multiple audiences — from team-level comms to group-wide all-hands.
Surface wins, celebrate milestones, and help the team feel connected to the goals we’re achieving together.
You’re probably a match if
You bring experience in enablement, ops, project/program management or equivalent roles supporting large groups of people. You excel at operational excellence — rhythms, systems, documentation, workflows and scalable processes are your love language.
You bring great energy and a great vibe — uplifting those around you and contributing to a positive, collaborative culture.
You’re excited by the opportunity to leverage AI to automate, optimise and elevate operational impact.
You are a relationship-building powerhouse, able to establish trust quickly with senior leaders, peers, and cross-functional partners.
You can bring clarity to ambiguity, making sense of shifting priorities and driving alignment amidst change.
You have some experience in Organisational Change Management & Communications.
