Job Description

  • Support the Messaging Team with various tasks
  • Working on the end user tickets. (Microsoft Exchange/M365 related)
  • Accurate, precise work, including pre- and post-documentation of each task
  • Keeping SLAs by ensuring the quick handing of tickets.

Qualifications

Basic IT Knowledge

  • Understanding of Windows Server fundamentals (user accounts, permissions, services).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory basics (OU structure, users, groups, group policies).
  • General networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
  • General mail and non-mail protocols: (SMTP, MAPI, IMAP, POP, HTTPS, ActiveSync)
  • Familiarity email protection basics (Security Email Gateway, spam, spoofing, SSL certificates)
  • Comfortable using PowerShell (running scripts, basic cmdlets, navigation, scripting fundamentals).
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and perform repetitive admin tasks reliably.

Exchange Awareness

  • Basic understanding of what Microsoft Exchange is and its role in enterprise email systems.

Soft Skills

  • Strong willingness to learn and take guidance from senior engineers.
  • Good communication skills for documenting issues and escalating when needed.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin portal basics.
  • Familiarity with Exchange Online (part of Microsoft 365) and its purpose.
  • Experience with Exchange 2019 administration basics (mailbox creation, distribution groups, mailbox permissions).
  • Familiarity with Exchange hybrid concepts (on-prem + cloud coexistence).
  • Exposure to mail flow troubleshooting (message tracking, queues, spam filtering).
  • Understanding of security concepts (multi-factor authentication, role-based access control).

Qualifications

  • English (B2)
  • Work at least 100-140 hours in a month
  • Commitment to at least 20-25 hours of work per week
  • Active (or passive under 25) full-time student status for at least one year
