Job Description

Tasks:

  • Global planning, provisioning and support from CPU hardware and infrastructure resources
  • Design, implementation, support and standardization of procedures, methods and conventions for the operation of CPU hardware
  • Ensuring design, deployment and support of a standardized capacity & performance management for CPU hardware resources
  • Ensuring technical software management (planning, maintenance, support) as product owner
  • Active participation in the central software placement of the system environments (Central software rollout and z/OS release management)
  • Technical project management, consulting and pre-sales support
  • Support for Disaster Recovery test actions
  • Creation of technical concepts in collaboration with the Service Delivery Management
  • Maintenance of customer-specific documentation (customer operation handbooks)
  • 2nd level support  z/OS CPU hardware resources
  • Operational changes/adjustments to system parameters
  • Responsible for Setup, Cofiguration and operation of zSeries CECs and OSA devices.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Mainframe HW skill z16, z15 series
  • HMC
  • OSA setup
  • Generating IODF
  • Cabling, connectivity between CECs and Storage HW
  • Experience with ZIS achitecture
  • Experience in the operation of  z/OS  systems and its subsystems
  • Good knowledge of  mainframe hardware and software (IBM and Brocade).
  • Knowledge of HMC, IO definition (HCD or HCM)
  • Experience in project management
  • Good know-how of the Incident/Change/Problem ITIL processes
  • Experience with working in a team
  • Good language skills in German or English
  • Willingness to participate later in “On Call” duty - outside office hours
  • Willingness to participate on Trainings in Germany – if necessary
