From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.

Eurofins is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entire network of Eurofins companies.

Job Description

The D365FO Finance Consultant & Business Analyst will work closely with Eurofins’ finance key users, process owners, finance leads, and internal and external IT teams to support the global deployment of the D365FO finance solution across more than 40 countries. This role requires a strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, system integration, reporting, and underlying business requirements, particularly in core finance and accounting areas such as Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable and Receivable (AP/AR), Fixed Assets, and Cash & Bank. You will apply this knowledge to validate, adapt, and implement the global D365FO template during country rollouts.

The primary focus of this position is on deployment activities, ensuring the successful rollout of the global D365FO finance solution across multiple geographies. Responsibilities include coordinating local fit-gap analyses, executing localisation and configuration tasks, supporting data migration, validating end-to-end processes through testing (such as SIT and UAT), preparing test reports, and ensuring adherence to the Eurofins global template. While deployment execution is the main responsibility, you will also occasionally contribute to solution design, functional specifications, and post-Go-Live support when required.

As part of the internal D365 Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will collaborate with the existing IT team and our external implementation partner to apply the global template consistently, while addressing country-specific requirements through appropriate localisation. You will help secure integration readiness and ensure a smooth transition to operations. This is a transversal role, working across Finance, IT, and regional business teams to drive standardisation and harmonisation of the future finance operating model at Eurofins.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Configuration and Module Setup

You will configure and maintain D365FO Finance modules, including Accounting, Chart of Accounts, Dimensions, Fixed Assets, Sales, Cost Accounting, and Warehousing. All configurations must follow the global design principles, internal policies, and KGD/GxP-relevant standards.

System Integration

Your role will involve setting up, supporting, and validating integrations between D365FO and surrounding systems such as CRM, ADMS, and LIMS. This includes ensuring process continuity, data consistency, and reliable end-to-end flows, as well as conducting system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Data Migration

You will lead and manage data migration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and testing, to guarantee accurate and compliant transition of legacy data into D365FO.

Training and Support

Providing training, documentation, and functional support during testing, cutover, Go-Live, and hyper-care phases will be essential to drive user adoption and maintain stable operations.

Documentation

You will create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, configuration documents, user manuals, and test scenarios. This ensures clarity, auditability, and alignment with global standards.

Business Process Analysis

Assess global and regional finance and accounting processes, identify gaps and localisation needs, and validate requirements with Finance and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment with Eurofins’ global finance template.

Functional Solution Design

Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and D365FO configuration settings that meet global process standards and business objectives.

Project Delivery and Rollout Execution

You will lead selected functional streams during country rollouts, conduct fit-gap analyses, support localisation, and coordinate deliverables with the Centre of Excellence, implementation partners, and project stakeholders to ensure successful deployment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven to eight years of hands-on experience with Microsoft ERP solutions, including D365FO/SCM, AX2012, and/or Great Plains. This experience should include roles such as Business Analyst, System Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Implementation Consultant, ideally involving implementations across both Europe and the United States. A strong understanding of end-to-end business processes is essential, with particular focus on finance areas such as general accounting, taxation, banking, reporting, cost management, and both operational and management reporting, as well as familiarity with related domains like supply chain and sales.

You should possess solid knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, and other local regulations, ensuring compliance in system design and global rollouts. Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in a multicultural and international environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities are key, enabling you to operate at a high conceptual level while also addressing technical or process-level details when necessary.

Previous operational finance experience, such as working as an Accountant or Finance Controller within a medium or large global organisation, will be considered a significant advantage. A very good understanding of D365FO security and compliance requirements, including Segregation of Duties, security roles and privileges, and alignment with audit and IT control standards, is also important. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, information technology, computer science, or a related field is required, and a PMI-PMP or similar project management certification would be a strong advantage. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, and proficiency in other languages will be considered a plus.

EMPLOYMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This role may involve occasional travel, typically between 20% and 40%, depending on the project phase. Travel could include visits to regional offices, subsidiaries, or project sites to support activities such as user acceptance testing, workshops, and Go-Live support.

The position is highly collaborative and transversal, requiring interaction with Finance, IT, external partners, and both corporate and regional business and IT teams within a multicultural and international environment.

Contracts are offered with a minimum duration of one year, with a strong likelihood of extension to two years. A B2B arrangement is preferred, and there is flexibility for hybrid remote collaboration with international teams. Permanent contracts may also be considered.

Professional development is a key aspect of this role, offering opportunities to deepen practical expertise in D365FO implementation and to participate in global rollout projects that have a significant impact across the organisation.

Success in this position will require strong communication skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and effective stakeholder management. The ability to balance deployment-focused tasks with occasional design, support, and advisory responsibilities is essential.
