Who You Are:
A team focused engineer with experience building large scale systems. You have extensive experience with hypervisors, software infrastructure and automation.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, and maintain large-scale Linux infrastructure, including servers, clusters, and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack to streamline system provisioning, configuration, and deployment
- Configure and manage network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, using various protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs)
- Ensure security compliance by implementing and maintaining security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
- Develop and maintain documentation on system architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24⁄7 support for critical infrastructure issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging threats, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our infrastructure and security posture
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration, with a focus on automation and network configuration
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Proficiency in one or more automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack)
- Experience with network configuration and management, including protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Understanding of security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Perl
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
