Senior Manager M&A

Job description

This role exists to lead the seamless operational delivery of complex, cross-border M&A human capital workstreams, ensuring efficient execution, compliance, and high-quality outcomes across the transaction lifecycle. The Senior Manager will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions to support global transactions and enable scalable growth.

Role & Responsibilities:

Leadership & Collaboration

  • This role does not have direct line management responsibility but will lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate delivery across stakeholders in different countries.
  • Serve as the operational lead for M&A human capital workstreams, ensuring alignment between internal teams, clients, and external partners.

Operational Delivery

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of cross-border M&A human capital workstreams, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality execution across all transaction phases.
  • Manage complex Employee Conveyance programs across multiple countries, including planning, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate workforce transitions, employment setup, HR compliance checks, and data preparation for divestitures, carve-outs, or acquisitions.

Process & Tool Enablement

  • Drive the implementation and operational readiness of tools such as Jira and Microsoft Copilot, including process documentation, workflows, and initial user onboarding.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements to enhance scalability and delivery efficiency.

Client Management

  • Lead client-facing communication for assigned workstreams, ensuring clarity in timelines, risks, and deliverables.

  • Build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders and maintain a strong focus on service excellence.

  • Proven experience in global client delivery, HR project leadership, and client account management within corporate/professional services.

  • Strong understanding of employment structures, compensation, and benefits across jurisdictions.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

  • Experience in cross-border employment, HR transitions, or M&A human capital workstreams, including international transactions (e.g., divestitures, carve-outs).

  • Multilingual capabilities and comfort working in cross-cultural environments.

  • Proficiency in project and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS platforms, Jira, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot).
