Location:  UK Remote

Salary: 55k - 60k plus bonus

A Day In The Life…

Reporting to our Principal Frontend Developer you’ll join a growing agile team of highly talented engineers working on building scalable solutions for our ecommerce platform. You’ll be pivotal in keeping our customer experience world class when it comes to delivery and design. We’re looking for someone who has had varying experiences in the frontend technology space and has knowledge on improving application performance and scalability. You will be joining PetlabCo’s Frontend Development Retention Team working on our customer account portal (Subscriptions, tracking etc), supporting PetlabCo’s major rebranding rollout projects in Canada and UK and working on our advanced personalisation engine.

Your day to day will look a little bit like this…

  • Collaborate with team lead on the PetLabCo. products to understand the context behind what you’re building;
  • Collaborating with tech lead and designing technical solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional needs;
  • Ensuring the platform is performant, secure, scalable, robust, reliable and high quality, well tested code in the critical areas;
  • Planning and evolving the technical architecture of the platform with the teams;
  • Championing and sharing best practices to improve the team and code over time;

What You Need…

  • 4+ years working as an engineer on frontend technology (React and JavaScript);

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript & TypeScript;

  • Strong proficiency in React.js;

  • Solid experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs;

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS will be highlybeneficial

  • Experience with automated testing tools, i.e. Jest, Cypress, Playwright;

  • Experience building quality, and highly scalable front end applications;

  • Excellent appreciation for UI/UX design;

  • Enthusiastic self-starter that will be able to work in a fast-paced environment;

  • Proven ability to quickly build and maintain authentic relationships and trust with individuals;
