Job description

Who we are:

PikPok is a global video game studio with more than 25 years of experience, with offices in New Zealand and Colombia. In New Zealand, we operate as a medium-sized company, while the current structure in Colombia is that of a small business. Our team is multicultural, with English serving as the primary working language.

We have a portfolio that spans games at various stages of the product lifecycle, supported by diverse revenue models, with a presence on mobile, PC, consoles, and virtual reality platforms. Today, we distribute our titles in more than 30 countries, connecting with players around the world.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced data analyst who will partner with our production and marketing teams in shaping the direction of our live service games. We expect this person to go beyond reporting numbers; they should use data to interpret player behavior, challenge assumptions, and provide actionable recommendations to support product and live operations teams in making data-driven decisions. We are seeking an individual with a mature and professional attitude who knows how to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

We encourage you to apply even if you are hesitant about meeting every single requirement. Our ideal candidate is not a pre-existing perfect fit but an individual who is curious and eager to learn, with the core skills and knowledge to succeed in this role. We believe that valuable skills are gained from a variety of experiences, including those from non-traditional paths or periods of caregiving. Our commitment to flexible work arrangements and a supportive environment reflects our belief that a rewarding career should integrate with a full life. If this role excites you and you’re passionate about growing with us, we encourage you to apply.

  • Working with developers to design, document, and implement effective telemetry & A/B tests that are robust and understandable for future analysis.

The  experienced data analyst’s required knowledge and experience should include:

  • Strong understanding of statistics and statistical modeling (descriptive, inferential, regression) for designing experiments, hypothesis testing, and analyzing results.

  • Knowledge of experimental design, including but not limited to A/B testing, multivariate experiments, and bias detection (selection, survivorship, confirmation).

  • Knowledge of data storytelling and visualization techniques to communicate technical subjects effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

  • A solid understanding of cognitive biases and logical fallacies to help teams identify gaps in thinking and risky assumptions.

  • 2+ years of experience in roles such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, BI Developer, or any other related field, where high-level insights are generated.

  • Bachelor’s or specialization degree in a related field, such as Engineering, Software engineering/computer science/information systems, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, Data analytics, data science, Science, or a similar field not listed.
