Join Similarwebโs Big Data team in Prague and take ownership of data quality, business logic, and analytics for some of the largest digital datasets in the world.
Youโll be the person who ensures our data is accurate, meaningful, and actionable โ combining analytical thinking, coding, and business understanding to make every data point count
๐ย What youโll do
Your work will be split across these key areas:
Data Quality Assurance
- Act as the final guardrail by checking all data and validating its business logic before it is released.
- Design, enhance, and deepen our business logic data quality monitoring tools.
- Use existing monitoring tools to assess production data quality, report any issues found, and propose fixes.
- Provide clear vetting summary reports for data releases.
New Production Deliveries
- Work on short-term, well-defined projects to create new algorithms and heuristics.
- Deliver incremental improvements to existing algorithms.
- Manage data-related tasks such as adapting to changing data sources, retraining models, and preparing data for data science experiments.
Ad-Hoc Requests & Data Issues
- Serve as the escalation point for complex data questions; you will answer the deep data questions that our support teams cannot.
- Handle ad-hoc requests about our data and create on-demand analyses.
- Investigate, understand, and provide fixes for reported data problems, whether found internally or externally.
- Active collaboration and communication are key in this area.
What you bring
2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
Python is a must โ daily hands-on use
PySpark experience (or willingness to learn fast โ weโll help)
Previous experience working with big data in a cloud environment (AWS, Databricks preferred)
Strong analytical mindset and understanding of business logic
Attention to detail and sense of ownership for data quality
Clear communicator with ability to explain complex topics simply
