Job Description

Reporting into the Group Consolidation & Reporting Manager, you will be in charge of the holdings accounting operations and financial reporting.

You will actively support the group consolidation process and the preparation of the annual financial statements.

You will play a key role into the finance transformation initiatives in line with Somfy’s strategic goals.

Key Duties

Holdings:

  • Maintain the general and analytical accounting for the French holding entities
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in IFRS
  • Prepare annual statutory standalone and consolidated financial statements as applicable
  • Liaise with other departments, auditors and tax consultants
  • Provide administrative support related to accounting and financial activities

Statutory Reporting & Consolidation:

  • Contribute to the quarterly consolidation process, according to IFRS standards, ensuring accuracy and timely completion and the drafting of the accounts and closing notes
  • Collect, analyse quarterly consolidation packages from subsidiaries and follow up open points with local affiliates
  • Ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies, including support to the conversion to IFRS

Process improvement:

  • Collaborating in process improvements and streamlining reporting procedures
  • Participate in the updating of the group’s accounting procedures and assist/train subsidiaries accordingly

Qualifications

7-10 years proven experience in a similar role into an international group

First experience in financial external audit, an asset

Practical knowledge of French local GAAP and general understanding of French tax

Solid understanding of IFRS and statutory consolidation process

Experience with Sage, SAP S4 HANA and Hyperion HFM knowledge would be a strong asset

Business fluent in English and French

Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial information
