About the Role

We’re seeking a Junior Fuel EU Maritime Trader eager to build their career as part of the Targray family. Based in Athens, this position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the emerging Fuel EU Maritime compliance market. You’ll support vessel owners, charterers, and shipping partners in meeting their compliance obligations, while helping expand Targray’s presence in Greece and across the Eastern Mediterranean.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of Targray’s trading activities in the Fuel EU Maritime market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vessel owners, charterers, and maritime customers in Greece and across the Eastern Mediterranean.
  • Provide guidance to customers on compliance obligations under Fuel EU Maritime regulation.
  • Assist in executing trades and managing the sales cycle, from prospecting to contract closure and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (risk, credit, legal, operations) to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends in the maritime compliance market.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is an asset).
  • 1–2 years of experience in commercial, sales, or trading roles
  • Experience in the commodities or maritime industry is a strong asset.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Fluent in English and Greek. proficiency in another European language is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license required, as the role involves regular travel and in-person meetings in Greece.
  • Genuine interest in the maritime sector, energy markets, and environmental compliance.
