About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) to join our Flight Operations team. This role will be Remote (US). This position is responsible for creating engaging, effective, and learner-centered experiences for Wing and our partners. A successful candidate is able to apply principles of instructional design, learning science, and creativity to develop a wide range of learning solutions. The LXD will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and multimedia teams to analyze learning needs, design innovative curricula and content, and implement and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs. This role is not only involved in the creation of training content, but also a broader involvement in Flight Operations learning strategy.  We’re looking for someone who  is a creative and analytical thinker, passionate about fostering learner success and continuously exploring new approaches to education and training.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and establish guidelines and processes for Flight Operations instructional design and development, in collaboration with the Training Lead and the Instructional Technology Lead.
  • Develop and manage project and program plans, including defining scope, goals, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources
  • Design and develop learning solutions through the creation of eLearning, simulations, and work aids, both as an individual contributor and a collaborative member of the Training Team.
  • Lead learning projects from inception to deployment, and evaluate effectiveness in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Support quality assurance of training content.
  • Manage learner records and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Champion innovative and effective learning solutions within Wing.

What You’ll Need:

  • Education: Bachelors in Instructional Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience (4-6+ years) as a Learning Experience Designer (LXD), Instructional Designer (ID), or a similar role.
  • Proven experience creating training content in a heavily regulated industry (i.e. aviation, defense, medical, etc.)
  • A portfolio showcasing your talent as a LXD/ID [Required]
  • Must be adaptable to a rapidly-evolving, fast-paced environment and capable of developing training for specific technical skills.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and implementation into compelling learning products targeted to multiple levels of technical expertise.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative international team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360 (preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with LMS administration.
  • Ability to travel 2-3 times domestically per year to support Wing training and evaluation events (3-5 days at a time).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

Salary Range

$91,000—$179,000 USD
